Black Sheep Coffee and COSMO coming soon to Liverpool ONE
There’ll soon be three new additions to Liverpool ONE’s food and beverage line-up, as operators at the leading retail and entertainment destination celebrate continued sales success in the sector.
Liverpool ONE owner Grosvenor says Black Sheep Coffee, Pan-Asian restaurant COSMO and pop-up bar and street food hub, The Bus Yard have all signed up for space. It is also reporting strong food and drink sales for its existing hospitality tenants.
Food and beverage sales at the complex were up 9% in May compared to the same month before the pandemic in 2019. For the year so far food and beverage sales are 18% ahead of 2019. The three new additions are:
Black Sheep Coffee, a specialty coffee chain, will take an 1,800 sq ft site at Paradise Place. The store will feature the brand’s café menu by day, offering a signature range of 100% specialty grade Robusta beans, Norwegian waffles, smoothies, shakes and light bites.
By night it will transform into a cocktail bar, serving up Espresso Martinis, craft beer, wine, sourdough pizza and free popcorn.
The store will feature Black Sheep’s ‘Free Coffee Board’ aimed at fighting social exclusion. Customers will be able to donate their loyalty rewards to the Free Coffee Board or purchase a drink voucher at a discounted price to be pinned on the board.
Anyone who cannot afford coffee can redeem the rewards or vouchers for any hot drink of their choice. Black Sheep will also forgo single-use plastics as part of its commitment to sustainability.
Pan-Asian restaurant COSMO will launch its world buffet concept in July from an 11,000 sq ft site on Liverpool ONE’s Manesty’s Lane. The restaurant will include a bar and dedicated dessert counter, alongside its extensive seating area.
Diners will be able to enjoy Asian, continental and carvery options, as well as cooked-to-order teppanyaki.
Pop-up bar and street food hub, The Bus Yard, has extended its tenancy until early September. The brand will continue to provide visitors to Liverpool ONE’s Chavasse Park with an assortment of drinks, food and live music entertainment throughout the summer.
Rob Deacon, senior asset manager at Grosvenor, said: “As evidenced by the continued strong performance of our F&B operators, Liverpool ONE provides a fantastic food, drink and entertainment offer at the heart of the UK’s most sociable city.
“The addition of Black Sheep Coffee and COSMO, along with the continued presence of The Bus Yard, provides even more choice to cater for the considerable and sustained consumer demand.”
