Peel L&P has emphasised sustainability with new development, and specified a range of energy efficient and low carbon technologies, including energy efficient heating, making use of natural light and electric vehicle charging points.
The developer said the neighbourhood would be the catalyst for a number of waterside residential schemes including East Float, a joint venture project between Peel L&P and Urban Splash. Construction is already under way.
Peel L&P director of development Richard Mawdsley said:
“Our appointment of Graham is a major step forward to seeing more cranes and delivery activity at Wirral Waters. Graham is a leading construction business with excellent social value credentials.”
Wirral Waters is a £4.5bn sister scheme to Peel L&P’s £5bn Liverpool Waters scheme on the other side of the River Mersey.
