Liverpool at MIPIM is delighted to welcome Peel Land & Property (Peel L&P) on board as the first sponsors for our 12-month programme, which includes attendance at MIPIM UK and Cannes.

Peel L&P is one of the city region’s most ambitious regeneration and property development companies, involved in a wide range of projects – most notably around Liverpool Waters and Wirral Waters.

Developments including the new Cruise Liner Terminal and Everton’s new stadium are sure to be some of the headline stories from Liverpool’s MIPIM programme over the coming months, so we’re very pleased they have come on board as our first 12-month sponsors.

First established in 1971, Peel L&P owns and manages over 12 million sq ft of property and 20,000 acres of land and water, with holdings concentrated in the north west of England and a total portfolio value of £2.6 billion.

Sean Beech, Partner at Deloitte, and Chair of the MIPIM Liverpool Steering Group said: “Peel L&P have been fantastic supporters of the MIPIM approach and we are delighted they are the first to confirm at sponsor level this year. We look forward to working closely with them over the next 12 months.”

Darran Lawless, Development Director for Liverpool Waters comments: “We’re proud to be the first 12 month sponsor for Liverpool at MIPIM as we recognise the importance of supporting the Liverpool City Region to help make it an internationally recognised destination of choice for business, technology, culture and tourism.”

Richard Mawsdley, Development Director for Wirral Waters said: “As MIPIM goes from strength to strength, it’s vital we showcase the opportunities of the Liverpool City Region, including Wirral Waters which is currently the largest regeneration project in the UK, on a global stage to secure investment and support growth.”

As well as Peel L&P being sponsors, there are more than 20 companies signed up to the MIPIM approach.
