Legacie Developments outlines £200m Liverpool plans
Liverpool based Legacie Developments has outlined plans for a £200m regeneration scheme on the edge of Liverpool city centre, which would help create more than 250 jobs.
The developer acquired The Gateway site on Leeds Street earlier this year and has now revealed proposals to bring forward 656 one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury residential apartments across four towers.
A scheme on the site was previously being brought forward by Vinco Group before being picked up by Legacie, which has subsequently drawn up these new plans.
The project would sit within the emerging Northern Quarter area, which is adjacent to the city’s central business district.
It would also feature a garden spa, complete with an infrared sauna, swimming pool, ice bath, oxygen chamber and experience showers, as well as two gyms, two resident lounges complete with a cinema room, landscaped gardens, coffee shop and convenience store, and other commercial amenities.
The complex would be a similar scale to Legacie’s Parliament Square development, which is located on the edge of the Baltic Triangle.
The proposals have been designed to “help breathe new life” into a site which has stood vacant for several years.
Meanwhile, the developer has said The Gateway will help create more than 250 construction jobs and 25 apprenticeships.
John Morley, chief executive of Legacie Developments, said:
“We are incredibly excited to be announcing plans for The Gateway today and adding to Legacie’s substantial and growing portfolio of quality residential and commercial developments in the region.
“This will be an impressive and vibrant scheme which extends the reach of the city centre and builds a community comparable to what we are delivering at Parliament Square.
“This site has lay vacant for far too long, and I am pleased that we have stepped forward with a scheme that will be a catalyst for further regeneration, provide an economic boost and deliver something the city can be proud of.”
RWinvest has partnered with Legacie Developments to promote the scheme, with director Michael Gledhill adding:
“The Gateway will be a stunning addition to Liverpool’s buoyant housing offer.
“With world-class facilities on-site, it will form a key part of the emerging Northern Quarter and help attract further investment as we continue to see huge demand for luxury living in the city.”
