BBC’s MILLION POUND MENU WINNERS PILGRIM ACQUIRE SITE FOR NEW RESTAURANT IN LIVERPOOL
PILGRIM WHICH FOUND SUCCESS ON BBC AND NETFLIX’S TV PROGRAMME ‘MILLION POUND MENU’ HAS RECENTLY ACQUIRED A NEW SITE AND IS SET TO OPEN ITS DOORS IN SOUTH LIVERPOOL.

Critically acclaimed by the Sunday Times and The Guardian, Pilgrim has since received Michelin’s Bib Gourmand award for consecutive years, and an international following that has eagerly awaited news of its newest location.
Pilgrim is a restaurant based on the ancient pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia which has taken place since the 9th century. Its menu showcases the diverse flavours and ingredients found along the many routes of the Camino, providing the highest quality local produce. It brings a fresh approach to traditional Iberian dishes supplemented by a selection of fine wines, port and Spanish sherries.
Founder Jamie Duffield who appeared on the television programme has partnered with Jon Shaw of WayMakr Ltd, local Architecture and Development studio, to acquire and open the site in 2024.

The new site will be on Allerton Road in South Liverpool and Pilgrim will bring Bib Gourmand awarded cuisine to the neighbourhood. Michelin’s Bib Gourmand Award recognises the best restaurants across Great Britain for good quality and good value by Michelin Inspectors. Using traditional cooking methods, Pilgrim will offer a small, seasonally focused menu that changes daily to reflect the freshest produce available from a network of local farmers and suppliers.
