USA’S Applied Materials acquires Sci-Tech Daresbury’s Perceptive Engineering
Perceptive Engineering based at Liverpool City Region’s Sci-Tech Daresbury has been acquired by US company, Applied Materials.
Applied Materials are a US$17 billion corporation based out of Santa Clara. They are global supplier of hardware, software and services to the semiconductor, flexible electronics and packaging sectors. They have acquired Perceptive Engineering as part of their strategic plan to build a stronger presence and business in the pharmaceutical sector.
Perceptive Engineering Ltd are a leader in advanced process control and model predictive control in the pharmaceutical industry. Perceptive’ s PharmaMV® advanced process control (APC) platform complements Applied Materials’ SmartFactory Rx® portfolio by bringing the value of multi-variate data analysis, model predictive control, and machine learning algorithms to the pharmaceutical industry.
