Taylor Wessing appoints Saleem Fazal as Head of Liverpool Office
International law firm Taylor Wessing has today confirmed the appointment of Saleem Fazal to head up its new office in Liverpool.
The firm will initially launch in the city centre before the end of October. The new office will provide flexible space before long-term requirements are finalised in 2019 and long-term premises confirmed.
Saleem has been a partner of the firm since 2005 and heads up the real estate disputes team. His appointment is effective immediately, with responsibility for leading the Liverpool office, directing strategy and providing seamless client service.
Managing Partner Shane Gleghorn said: “Saleem’s appointment is an important step in advancing our new office and we are delighted that he will be leading the office. He has great experience in managing successful teams and, crucially, has worked with all areas of our business and understands our client’s needs.”
Commenting on his new appointment, partner and head of Liverpool, Saleem Fazal said: “I’m really looking forward to opening our new office in Liverpool and driving the opportunities it presents for clients across our international network.
“We’re being realistic with timescales as we build our new team but really encouraged by the response from people and the calibre of applicants coming through. A key part of developing our team will be effective on-boarding and getting to know colleagues around the business.”
Saleem will be co-located spending time in both London and Liverpool.
