Liverpool Game Dev Network launches Games Pitching Bootcamp for indie studios and start-ups
Liverpool Game Dev Network (LGDN) has announced the launch of the Games Pitching Bootcamp, a new two-day programme designed to help indie developers and emerging studios sharpen their business skills, refine their pitches, and compete for funding. The event will take place on 26 November and 3 December 2025 at Baltic Ventures, Liverpool.
The Bootcamp is aimed at start-ups, solo developers, and small studios preparing to take their projects to market. or looking to improve their understanding of the business of games development. Over the course of two days, participants will receive expert guidance on the fundamentals of running a successful games business, with sessions covering publishing, finance, investment, and the legal frameworks that underpin studio growth. Alongside this, networking opportunities will connect teams with peers and mentors, building valuable relationships across the sector.
For teams ready to take the next step, the programme also includes a competitive element. Applicants can submit their pitch decks for review by a panel of five judges drawn from leading studios and investors, including names with experience at Sony, Tencent, Ripstone, and Lucid Games. Selected teams will receive a dedicated one-to-one masterclass with publisher Silver Lining Interactive before presenting live to the judging panel and an audience on the second day of the Bootcamp. The winning team will receive a £1,000 prize to reinvest into their project.
All participating teams will also be included in a curated Pitchify LookBook, ensuring their work is visible to vetted publishers and investors long after the event itself.
Speaking about the launch, LGDN founder Marek Smagala said:
“The Bootcamp is designed to give new studios not just the skills, but also the exposure and confidence they need to succeed in a competitive industry. We want to create a platform that helps teams across the North-West and beyond to turn promising projects into sustainable businesses.”
By focusing on both education and opportunity, the Games Pitching Bootcamp underscores Liverpool’s commitment to nurturing the next wave of talent in the games industry. It adds to the LGDN’s growing portfolio of sector-defining events and highlights the role of local networks in strengthening the UK’s creative economy.
