The Liverpool City Region has been extraordinarily proactive in its plans to recover and rebuild, following the international impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Partner organisations and city leaders across the region have been working hard, utilising all available business platforms, at regional and local levels, to re-energise and support the economy with a comprehensive and ambitious recovery framework.

In addition, Liverpool City Council has submitted a £1.4billion plan to the Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer, which if delivered, will create 25,600 jobs, provide an additional 12,000 construction jobs and deliver more than 9,700 apprenticeships.

Alongside this, a number of high-profile ‘shovel ready’ schemes from Knowledge Quarter through to Pall Mall are showing no signs of slowing down across the city region.At this forward-thinking Liverpool MIPIM webinar;

  • Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Chief Executive, Frank Rogers outlined the Combined Authority’s approach to recovery.
  • Liverpool City Council Chief Executive, Tony Reeves, explained how Liverpool City Council has taken swift action to build momentum and reveal the next steps.
  • Editor of Property Week, Liz Hamson, illuminated the private sector commercial property perspective, examining plans against the national priorities for UK investment.

This engaging and informative webinar culminated with a selection of questions from a number of Liverpool City Region’s private sector property representatives who were also invited to answer questions and give their initial perspectives on the city region’s recovery plans.
