Human Capture and reconstruction technologies have come a long way over the past few years. From volumetric video and motion capture, to real-time rendering and advances in artificial intelligence, the digital landscape is set to be transformed by a world where it is becoming increasing challenging to distinguish the virtual from the real.
Through presentations and demos this event will be exploring the possibilities and implications of ‘capturing humans’ and discussing the future opportunities for business, research and development in this exciting space that is set to transform the way we perceive and interactive with digital people.
SPEAKERS
With technology that enables the capture of real people into volumetric holograms, Volograms bring reality capture closer to everyone. The technology allows creators, brands, institutions, and other professionals to bring immersive storytelling to the next level. Whether it is making cultural experiences more memorable, creating more engaging marketing campaigns, delivering more effective communications, or adding an extra dimension to artistic performances, Volograms helps blur the line between real and virtual.
Face Lab is an interdisciplinary research group focusing on facial depiction and representation, at the interface of art and science.
Based at Liverpool School of Art and Design, Face Lab specialises in facial identity, population demographics, portraiture and depiction. From skeletal remains, death masks and portraits, they analyse, authenticate and/or depict the faces of key historical figures. This work has directly influenced current research into digital human representation, particularly in relation to the creation of 3D facial avatars and facial recognition.
From ASOS to Warner, HoloMe have delivered incredible experiences to customers around the globe. HoloMe technology automatically processes videos of you, your products, and ideas, to be sent and broadcast anywhere in augmented reality.
