British Businesses Invited to Join UK Delegation at China’s Leading Investment Fair
The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), in partnership with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), is inviting UK companies to take part in an important business delegation to the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), where the United Kingdom will be recognised as the Country of Honour.
The delegation will be led by CBBC President Lord Sassoon and Chief Executive Peter Burnett, and will follow a carefully planned programme designed to help British businesses make the most of this high-profile event. It offers a valuable opportunity to meet senior Chinese officials, build new relationships, and explore fresh avenues for growth.
This year’s UK presence at CIFIT will focus on three key themes:
- Encouraging Chinese investment into the UK
- Supporting UK investment into China
- Showcasing the UK’s world-class financial and professional services sector
CIFIT is China’s only national-level event dedicated to two-way investment, attracting senior figures from across government and industry. In 2024, the event was attended by Vice Premier He Lifeng, underlining its importance on the international stage.
With the UK taking centre stage in 2025, British businesses with interests in China, or those looking to attract Chinese investment, are strongly encouraged to get involved.
To express your interest, visit the CBBC website CIFIT: UK Country of Honour (7-11 September 2025) and complete the registration form HERE
If you have any questions regarding the visit or require assistance with joining the mission, please contact Mi Tang from the Business Support Service: Mi.Tang@liverpool.gov.uk.
