ARUP EXTENDS ITS PRESENCE IN LIVERPOOL

The relocation of the Arup Liverpool office is a significant move for the Consultancy practice who has been based in the City since 2000. Still located in the heart of the Commercial District, the new space will enable the team to grow to 100 staff.

Working with fit out specialists Overbury, the wellbeing of staff has been central to the design. A modern working environment with flexible workstations, collaborative spaces and break out areas have been provided to support creative thinking. In addition, the office is the first in Arup to have a dedicated Virtual Reality centre within a workshop environment to increase the use of this technology within the sector.

Helen Lafferty, Senior Marketing Coordinator commented, “Having been part of the design team it has been fantastic to see the reaction of the staff as they walk around their new space. Incorporating biophilic design, we have brought together many items they had wished for including natural materials and planting. It’s a small change to move down two floors, but will create a big difference to all our working conditions.”
