On the 31st October 2018 Liverpool hosted UN-Habitat’s ‘World Cities Day’ summit, on behalf of Liverpool City Council and the Shanghai People’s Government.
The global event promoted the international community’s interest in urbanisation, driving forward cooperation and new opportunities that will address the challenges of urbanisation, contributing to sustainable urban development all around the world.
Liverpool City Region was selected as the perfect international location to host the event, thanks to it’s urban regeneration, sustainable development, strong character and resilient nature.
